Love the Game Not the Odds

The round 17 match on 19 August between Preston Bullants and St Johns at W.R. Ruthven Reserve will feature the Responsible Gambling “Love the Game” theme. The Love the Game Campaign encourages players, spectators and all participants to focus on the love of the game, without worrying about odds.

Recent research has showed that two-thirds of children can name at least one betting brand and some could name three or more, which is a confronting statistic. The normalisation of gambling in our game is leaving young people at risk of developing a gambling problem.
